When the Prusa MK 4 was announced I found reference to various 3D printer meetups / events. One so happen to be located
in Colorado.

I am a bit south of Denver; so it will be a bit of a drive; but I would like to see if possible the new Mark IV printer in person. Ok, I really want to see the XL just to see how big that printer is.

The Rocky Mountain RepRap Festival or "RMRRF" brings the 3D Printing community, members, companies, and the public who may have never seen a 3D Printer or want to learn more about 3D Printing. 3D Printing can make our lives easier, being able to design and create products and useful items for home, work, car or anything else you are passionate about! Curiosity is part of human nature and this event brings all of it to you!


We are inviting companies, individuals and educational institutions to bring out their 3D printers and projects big & small. Bring your passion & curiosity for 3D printing and share your creations with the maker community!


Be an exhibitor or just attend-ITS FREE!

If you are an exhibitor, we ask that you register, so we can make sure we have adequate space for you! Tables are 8 feet long and 31 inches wide (weight limit of 100 pounds per table), exhibitor spots are half a table per exhibitor ticket. If you need a full 8 foot table, please select 2 tickets. Attendees, Maker and Exhibitors under 16 years of age must have adult supervision.

Power will be available behind every booth and table, however it is highly recommended that sponsors, exhibitors and makers bring an extension cord (no longer than 10') and a power strip or surge protector.



Exhibitor/maker setup will start at 2:00pm on Friday, April 21st, 2023 and end at 8:00pm.

If you are attending, please get a ticket for you and your group so we have an idea of the amount of attendees.

3D printing companies from all over the world displaying their latest 3D printing products, maybe even sneak peaks of new unreleased products!

3D printing makers and community members showing off their incredible 3D prints! The detail and hard work will be almost overwhelming!

Cosplay 3D Prints - Full suits, shield, prop weaponry, helmets and anything else they can make!

I'm a 3D-printer noob and went this afternoon.
What an awesome show filled with awesome people. Learned a lot, was particularly impressed with the PRUSA and LULZBOT machines as well as the company that was doing metal printed parts.
If anyone in the area is even remotely curious about 3D printing its worth going. Free to attend!

I took my son this morning. Very cool stuff. Did you see the Canadian booth that is using pollution to develop their filament? Cool stuff especially for a free event

I was going to go yesterday - but for me the snow said not now...so I went today. I just got back from the trip I wanted more but it was nice to see the various spins on what a 3D printer could do.

I had hopped for more sale items there. But the hardware was cool; the Prusa XL was much bigger than I expected...a customer even brought in a used printer and hand the tech guy work on it.

That Prusa XL is not your ordinary hobbyist printer. Wow.

My comparatively cheap Ender 5Plus is plenty big at 350x350x400 and gets the job done for my limited use. I do use PrusaSlicer.

After the show it made me want that new Mark IV printer. Once I saw the notification that un assembled printers were up for sale; I placed my order. The hardware arrived last week, now I am trying to figure out where to put that printer farm I seemed to be growing...

The "standard" XL printer is sort of just a big Mark 4 with some worth while improvements. Now getting that printer with 5 heads a running; yea lot of space - and lot of money. I don't think Prusa has started shipping the printer with more than one print head yet.

The XL works on a fundamentally different operating mechanism for the movement of the head and bed than the MK4/3, never mind the Prusa mini. The XL is a “coreXY printer” that allows the bigger print area with out getting the frame to be huge.

I have two Prusa Minis, a Mk3 that I have a Mk3.9 upgrade kit ordered for, a Mk4 kit sitting at home waiting for assembly, and a XL 5-head on order that should be here with in a month. Not a ‘farm’, more of a garden…

I’ve printed barrier stops for AR forends. Adaptors for AI chassis to bipods and all manner of doo-dads for around he house. Plus school projects for the kids.

Prusa printers are good, the Prusaslicer is excellent and the Printables website of designs is coming along. The main problem with Prusa is that you wait FOREVER for their gear. The Mk4 was ordered in April and I’m just getting the kit now. The XL was ordered…. Nov of 2021…. Yep. That’s slow.

The Mk4 and XL are really a step forward in that they can run some new firmware that allows printing in about half the time, or so they say, we’ll see.. It better be fast if it is to print something 14 inches on each side…or 18 inches on hypotenuse.

That and there is the BASF ultra fuse material that makes real metal parts with some offsite processing.
